Silicon Graphics is a company that made expensive computers.
This, however, is their least expensive computer, the Indy.
Like SGI's other machines, this ran IRIX, a version of UNIX.
I found this with a VHS recorder, but it has a WebFORCE badge.
This computer originally included some software for making web pages. In 1993!
It was truly amazing for its time, and the blue case is very attractive.
However, this requires a sync-on-green display, and only my Sharp TV
that's broken supports that, and since I have no hard drive or any other media,
it has to be booted via the network. However, not even that works.
Linux and NetBSD don't work, because there's apparently an issue with
the graphics card. The original operating system, IRIX, can only be
netbooted from other SGI systems, which we do not have.
But, it sure does look pretty as hell.
